28-INCH MEN'S URBAN BIKE UR.2825 SHIMANO NEXUS 7

If you're looking for an urban bike and one gear isn't enough for you, then a fixie or singlespeed isn't the right choice—but hopefully the AIRTRACKS UR.2825 is!

This bike comes with a maintenance-free Shimano Nexus 7-speed hub gear system, with no unnecessary extras to save weight. The Tektro V-brakes provide better braking performance than expensive dual-pivot brakes or heavy mechanical disc brakes. As is customary on bikes with hub gears, this one has no coaster brake, which is a clear advantage if you aren't comfortable using one.

If you decide at some point to make the bike suitable for all weather conditions, that shouldn't be a problem, as the frame and fork have mounting holes for fixed mudguards. A rear rack can also be added.

To save even more weight, the UR.2825 comes with a rigid fork instead of a suspension fork. Lower weight isn't the only advantage—the power you put in is transferred to the road more efficiently by a rigid fork. That's because a suspension fork absorbs some of your power.

The 35 mm-wide Schwalbe KOJAK 700C tires provide plenty of grip and comfort on uneven roads and bumpy bike paths.

If you plan to commute to work on your bike and don't want to wear special cycling shorts, you don't need to worry with the UR.2825. It features a fully enclosed chain guard that reduces maintenance and provides significantly better protection from dirt.

The UR.2825 is a simple urban bike with the potential to be upgraded into a full-fledged city bike.

This bike is delivered 98% fully assembled. Only the handlebars and pedals need to be secured. Final assembly for road use must be carried out by a qualified person.
